Acknowlegements

Our Acknowledgment of Country

We acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of country throughout Australia and their continuing connection to land, waters and community.

We pay our respect to them and their cultures, and elders past, present and future.

Acknowledgement of previous work

As outlined in Our Vision we will not reinvent the wheel by recreating work that has already been undertaken or seek to displace those organisations, people or relationships established by people and organisations who have over the years conducted some incredible work to advocate for Sikh rights including interacting with various levels of government and other non-governmental organisations.

In this spirit we acknowledge the following organisations that have conducted some wonderful work for the community over the years in addition to that conducted by the contributors to this site. It is their hard work and advocacy over the years that allows us to have strong foundations upon which we have been able to put together this resource. We acknowledge the below list is not complete. It represents those organisations that have provided information or material that has assisted us in the preparation of the resources contained on this website. We will update this list periodically. If you beleive an organisation should be acknowledged due to content contained on this website, please feel free to contact us with the relevant details.
